Does anyone know why my African Gray Parrot chews his feathers?

He has a big cage, plenty to eat, treats and etc. But when he gets mad for any reason as he wants people food, and dont get it. he will chew his red tail feathers off . I am at loss as to what his problem is.

He is stressed out or unhappy if he is plucking them out.
I own an orange winged amazon..
It is alright to feed them people food..it will not harm them just make sure you feed him appropriate things (no avocado’s, chocolate, etc)
I let my perrot eat at the dinner table with us…we give him his own bowl and spoon and he uses them…
It will make him alot happier.
also, give him lots of attention and try to teach him new words and focus on words until he learns them that will make him happier too.
