The image is more carefully constructed than my usual Bonnet watercolor, from the frothy foreground to the breaking wave in mid-ground to the solemn rocks.
This time I used more absorbent paper to get softer, deeper dark tones. Possibly because I was trying something different, it feels a bit studied. A nice antique effect, nonetheless.
